Canvases
Your chosen image is printed at high quality onto superior artist’s canvases and timber frames. Our large canvases are stretched over a 36mm deep timber frame, whilst our smaller canvases are presented on 25mm frames. Your image will wrap around the canvas edges if there is sufficient bleed, otherwise the canvas edge will be left natural.
Your canvas comes supplied with ‘exhibition style’ flush mount fixings for easy hanging.

Unstretched Canvases
Your chosen image is printed at high quality onto superior linen textured artist’s canvas, and supplied, with extra bleed, rolled and ready for you to stretch and frame yourself. This lightweight, flexible solution makes them ideal for overseas purchases.

Mounted prints
Perfect for an elegant ready-to-hang finish. Your print is mounted directly onto 5mm deep foamcore panel which, once hung, gives the impression of floating off the wall. Our mounts are black edged, unless otherwise stated.
For increased protection, your dry mount comes supplied with a laminate layer over the print.
Hanging is easy. Attached to the reverse of your print is a matt black subframe for hanging, producing a 10mm clearance from the wall, with no visible fixings. We supply the necessary batons, and a paper template showing the positions for fixing.

Aluminium Dry Mounts
A big favourite with photographers, this superior production method is ideal for specialist images. Each image is photographically reproduced and mounted onto 3mm deep aluminium composite panel, giving a rigid and hard wearing backing which, once hung, gives the impression of floating off the wall.
For increased protection, your dry mount is supplied with a laminate layer over the print.

Print only
Your simplest and most cost effective option. Our gloss and satin prints are photographically reproduced onto archival quality photographic paper.
Matt prints are digitally printed at archival quality onto 255gsm Somerset Velvet artist quality paper with a luxury textured finish (detail above).
Your print is supplied with an additional 20mm blank border, so you can choose your own framing method.

Triptych
Your chosen image is printed onto superior artist’s canvas and stretched onto three individual 25mm deep timber frames. Each section is printed separately, allowing the full image to run continuously across all three panels.
Your triptych comes with a template for easy and accurate positioning. Each frame is supplied with ‘exhibitions style’ flush mount fixings for hanging.

Ready to Roll Blinds
All our blinds are printed onto a standard material – a lightweight semi opaque airtext fabric. Surface View blinds use a beaded metallic chain for operation. We supply versitle fitting brackets for attachment above, behind or beside the blind.
Please read the following notes before measuring, trimming and fitting your blind. (cont.)
Measuring
First find out how wide you need your finished blind (including the fittings). You’ll need to decide whether you want your blind to hang inside our outside your recess.
– Inside Recess
Measure the inside width, taking measurements in a few different places to ensure that the details you give us are accurate and make allowances if your recess is not square. Always double check your measurements.
– Outside Recess
If you would like your blinds to hang outside your window recess we suggest the blind should project at least 75mm (3”) around the whole of the recess.
Make a note of this finished measurement.
Choose the width of your blind to best suit your required measurement. Choose from widths - 610mm, 910mm, 1220mm, 1500mm, 1800mm wide. You can reduce the width by trimming the roller bar and fabric. All have a drop of 1770mm.
Reducing the width
You will need a hacksaw - for shortening the inner roller tube and bottom bar, and craft knife (and steel rule) or heavy duty scissors for cutting the fabric blind.
– For the width of the roller tube, deduct 35mm from your finished measurement.
– For the width of the fabric blind and bottom bar, deduct 37mm from your finished measurement.
First, unroll the fabric blind fully, careful not to dislodge the top roller tube. Remove the bottom bar. Mark the reduced measurement (35mm less than your finished measurement) and cut to size with a hacksaw.
For the fabric blind, mark the width you require (37mm less than your finished measurement) lightly with a pencil. Use a ruler to mark the straight cutting line. Cut along this guide with a craft knife (and steel rule) or heavy duty scissors. Cut the bottom bar to this same width using the hacksaw and replace.
Fitting
Brackets
Bracket positions illustrated are for a blind with the control chain on the right. For a blind with the control chain on the left the bracket should be on the opposite ends. Brackets can be fixed to any flat surface above, behind or to the side of our blinds. Mark the location of the brackets first and check they are level using a spirit level. Also check that the rolled fabric will not touch any surface. Use the appropriate screws to fix in
Blinds
Hold the blind to the brackets with the fabric hanging from the back of the blind. Fit the spring plunger into its bracket. Push the blind into this bracket, depressing the plunger. With the locating hook pointing downwards, place the hook into the vertical part of the ‘+’ shaped bracket. Allow the hook to drop downwards so that it locks into place in the bracket.

Canvases and mounted prints come securely bubble wrapped and shipped inside their own bespoke rigid box.
Unstretched canvases and unmounted prints come rolled and shipped inside their own robust tube.

Gift Vouchers
Our gift vouchers are available in £25, £50, £100 and £200 denominations and can be personalised with your own message (140 characters maximum).
They are printed on A2 (420x597mm) canvas and delivered rolled in a Surface View tube.

Environmental Policy
Printing is potentially harmful to the environment. Most printing inks contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and toxic chemicals that can find their way into the ecosystem, contaminating rivers and lakes.
At Surface View we use specialist ink, the first and only digital ink to be certified to the Nordic Ecolabel environmental standard. Our ink is totally free from VOCs and toxic chemicals, and the resulting printed matter is fully recyclable. We’re dedicated to minimising our impact on the environment, and we continue to do our best to be as eco friendly as possible.
